Position Overview
Waterford School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join an elementary Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom. This position offers strong multidisciplinary support and a collaborative environment focused on student success.
Classroom Details
- Elementary ASD classroom
- 3 paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom
- Comprehensive support team including:
- Speech-Language Pathologists
- Social Workers
- Occupational Therapists (OT)
- Physical Therapists (PT)
- No toileting or lifting responsibilities required
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Special Education Certification
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
