Position Manufacturing Associate II Summary The Manufacturing Associate II is an intermediate‑level manufacturing position; it requires more experience than a Manufacturing Associate I, and allows the employee to work on mid‑level complex tasks and understand general manufacturing processes. Position Duties Locate and position parts for processing by following blueprints and Standard Work Instructions. Work at the station as a member of a manufacturing group producing one or more specific parts to meet production requirements. Locate and position parts in specific areas and secure them in place. May assemble parts by following the schematic, blueprint, and Standard Work Instructions to produce increasingly more complex parts. Verify the dimensions or appearance of the part after the process using basic measuring tools and gauges. Dimension aspects with related test fixtures. Perform related duties, which may be assigned from one area task to another at the area supervisor’s requirements. Qualifications Experience with soldering. Reading blueprints and/or schematics. Finger dexterity for manipulating small parts. Hand‑eye coordination. Ability to verify the process of the part per the final blueprint. Effective communication skills in English with the ability to read, speak, and understand English. Education / Previous Experience High school education or general education degree (GED). A minimum of one year of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Environment and Safety Equipment Requirement The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods and stand to perform work. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility. Wearing safety glasses, shop coat/apron, proper shoes. Occasional exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes. Pay Compensation Range Pay Compensation Range: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour Authorization and Compliance Must be authorized to work in the U.S. International Trade Compliance Requirements: This position requires use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
