Pain Management

Join BJC HealthCare as a Pain Management specialist supporting patients across our leading nonprofit, research-connected system in St. Louis. In this role, you will assess complex pain conditions, design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, and deliver pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies. You'll collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and contribute to quality initiatives in a mission-driven, patient-focused, and inclusive environment with strong support for ongoing learning and professional growth. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive pain assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based pain management plans Administer and monitor pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain interventions safely and effectively Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and pharmacists to coordinate interdisciplinary pain care Educate patients and families on pain control options, medication use, and self-management strategies Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document outcomes in the electronic health record Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and BJC clinical policies Participate in quality improvement initiatives and pain management best-practice projects Contribute to staff education and mentoring on pain assessment and treatment practices Required Skills Pain assessment and evaluation Chronic and acute pain treatment planning Pharmacologic pain management Non-pharmacologic pain interventions Opioid stewardship and risk management Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Interdisciplinary care coordination Patient and family education Regulatory and safety compliance in healthcare Quality improvement in clinical settings #J-18808-Ljbffr
