Employment Paralegal

**Overview:**

As a Paralegal in our Employment Law Department, you'll play a key role in supporting our plaintiffs' side practice. You'll assist our employment attorney with case preparation, client communication, discovery, and filings. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping individuals navigate workplace issues, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing accurate, organized, and meaningful work.

**Responsibilities:**

• Work directly with the attorney to draft, revise, and organize employment-related documents, including demand letters, complaints, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Gather, review, and summarize client information, evidence, and supporting documentation.
• File documents with state and federal courts
• Communicate frequently with clients to collect information and provide case updates under attorney supervision.
• Maintain case files, calendars, and document databases to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Assist in preparing discovery responses, deposition exhibits, and settlement materials.
• Support ongoing case management, drafting correspondence, and maintaining clear communication within the team.

**Qualifications:**

Required:

• 2+ years of working in Employment or Labor Law, particularly employee rights and workplace matters.
• Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and document management tools.
• Familiarity with California court filing procedures and e-filing systems.

Preferred:

• Paralegal Certificate or degree in Legal Studies or related field.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Job Type: Full-time & On-site
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
