Armed Security Officer - Veteran Opportunity Las Vegas, NV As an Armed Security Officer - Veteran Opportunity in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries in our Justice Building working alongside the Court system. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a Justice Building, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.22 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations. Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas to help support access control practices, observe customer interactions, and report suspicious behavior and/or prohibited items. Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and completing assigned reports, logs, and/or other security‑related documentation. Minimum Requirements: Must have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or a college degree. Must possess an armed guard card/license. Must be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
