Physical Therapist AssistantDay shiftAssignment DetailsHoliday coverage required.RequirementsLicensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Vermont and New Hampshire or hold a compact licenseGraduate of an accredited school as a Physical Therapy AssistantGeneral Certifications (BLS/BCLS)One year of experience as a PTA in a home health care setting is preferredResponsibilitiesProvide treatment to patients as prescribed by physician and after initial evaluation of patients' physical therapy needs established by a registered Physical Therapist (RPT).Execute treatment plans developed by the RPT to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain performance using physical means such as exercise and modalities.Direct and assist patients in exercises, muscle re-education, functional training, and activities of daily living.Utilize therapy equipment as needed to support patient treatment.Observe, record, and report patient reactions to treatment and any changes in their condition to the RPT.Educate patients and caregivers on self-care techniques and activities.Complete and submit accurate clinical documentation in a timely manner according to agency standards.Compliance / NotesOrientation and other compliance requirements will be provided as necessary.Client Details State VT Job Board Disclaimer TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer and fully complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
