Manufacturing Operations Coordinator

Stewart's Shops is a vertically integrated, fast‑growing convenience store chain operating in New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire, with a company‑owned distribution and food manufacturing plant supporting our retail shops. Our employees own 1/3 of the company and share in the growth and profits. We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Coordinator for our Manufacturing Plant in Greenfield, NY. This role offers hands‑on exposure to Dairy, Ice Cream, and Central Kitchen operations, supporting daily execution while driving continuous improvement. Although this role does not have direct supervisory responsibility, our candidate will work closely with department managers to support operations. It is an ideal entry point for candidates who want to build a career in manufacturing operations and grow into a leadership position within the organization. Responsibilities Support daily operations across Dairy, Ice Cream and Central Kitchen to ensure safe, efficient production. Assist with production scheduling and planning to meet demand. Monitor production performance and key metrics (efficiency, yield, downtime, labor) to identify trends and performance gaps. Investigate production and quality issues and support timely root cause analysis and corrective actions. Ensure effective communication between departments including Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Supply Chain. Support inventory management by monitoring raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or overages. Lead and participate in cross‑functional projects focused on efficiency gains, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. Identify and implement process optimization and standardization initiatives. Build technical and operational knowledge through hands‑on involvement across all manufacturing areas. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Food Science or related field is preferred. Food Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office. Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. We Offer Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 (based on experience).
