Business Development Manager - Infrastructure (Central)

Job Description Travel Requirement This is a heavy travel position covering the Central Part of the U.S. Selected person will be required to travel approximately 50% of the time or more. Must live in the territory to be considered. Responsibilities Learn all about Victaulic’s products and the many ways they can provide solutions for customers, and complete the company’s comprehensive training program. Understand industry practices, including grooved mechanical pipe joining methods and competitive joining methods such as welding and flanging, and use that knowledge to overcome objections. Follow construction cycles, identify major construction, expansion or retrofit projects, keep up‑to‑date with market trends and competitor activity, and liaise with local trade organizations. Collaborate with your Regional Sales Manager to develop a business plan that includes opportunity mapping, sales goals, product promotion plans, and strategies to maximize sales potential. Execute all phases of project pursuit and management: from inception through design, specifications, drawings, bidding, job‑site training and support, final commissioning and after‑sale follow‑up. Build and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, building/project owners, and distributors, and coordinate with other Victaulic representatives and market specialists to ensure the best customer experience. Educate customers about the value of Victaulic products through site visits, training sessions, lunch‑and‑learn presentations and other interactions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (preferred). Strong background in civil, structural or mechanical engineering. Professional engineering license (not required). Professional presentation skills and ability to deliver technical messages. Previous sales experience in a value‑added product or service (preferably in commercial construction, pipes, valves, fittings or mechanical products). Proven sales achievements and experience building long‑standing customer relationships. Self‑motivated, self‑driven, with strong problem‑solving, resourcefulness, creativity, organization, time management and project‑management skills. Willingness and ability to travel heavy overnight within the territory. Benefits Company vehicle, laptop, iPhone, corporate credit card and car maintenance card.
