Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Controller to bridge the gap across a complex, multi-entity landscape while mentoring and developing the next generation of financial talent. This is a unique opportunity for a growth-minded leader.

Description
-Hands on and daily transactional accounting skills
-Directs budgets and cost controls, financial analysis, accounting practices and reporting
-Manage and prepare financial statements with analysis and reconciliation for multiple entities
-Prepares monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, and strategic planning
-Achieves budget and forecasting objectives by scheduling expenditures; variance analysis and initiating corrective actions
-Performs some treasury duties
-Maintains the general ledgers for multiple companies/entities and accurate records of crop yields
-Oversees, manages and mentor accounting staff
-Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements and maintains company insurance coverages
-Provide financial guidance to multiple entities and their staff

Requirements

Requirements (Skills/Experience/Education)
-5-7 years of hands-on financial and operational cost control and staff management experience
-4-year bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration required, CPA a plus
-Strong knowledge of internal controls and GAAP
-Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook required
-Excellent professional communication and organizational skills
-MIP Fund Accounting Software preferred
-Knowledge and understanding of Chapter 11 bankruptcy guidelines is a plus
