Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for post-anesthesia patients, using the nursing process to develop and implement a plan of care
- Monitor and document patient status, manage airway and respiratory status, and recognize/respond to post-operative changes
- Administer prescribed medications and interventions within scope of practice and unit protocols
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and the broader health care team to coordinate delivery of care
- Support teaching and discharge planning needs as part of the overall care plan
- Delegate appropriate tasks to other licensed and unlicensed staff according to competency and scope of practice
- Deliver care across patient age ranges as assigned by the unit, from neonatal to geriatric, depending on unit needs

Requirements
- Active RN license (state of practice per assignment)
- PACU/perioperative nursing experience is preferred
- Ability to work evenings on a 4x10 schedule
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills for collaboration with the care team
- Competence with the nursing process, patient assessment, and discharge planning
- Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to a hospital-based PACU environment
