Staff Accountant

Working closely with the CFO, this individual will be responsible for the company's day-to-day accounting operations, including the monthly close, general ledger, banking, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. We are looking for someone with experience at a small or mid-sized company who has worked across multiple areas of the accounting cycle and understands how the pieces fit together.

This is an onsite, full-time position located in Dallas, TX.

COMP : Up to $100,000, depending on experience (pay is hourly)

WHAT YOU LL DO:

• Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment preparation.
• Manage daily banking activities and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash activity and maintain accurate cash records.

• Prepare recurring financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Assist the CFO with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Assist with audit and year-end accounting activities.
• Support internal control and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with fixed assets and other accounting functions as needed.
• Work closely with the CFO on special projects and other financial initiatives.

WHAT YOU LL BRING:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience working in a small or mid-sized company with broad accounting responsibilities is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables) and accounting/ERP systems; NetSuite preferred
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
