Through a structured partnership, this individual—a veteran Middle School teacher—will support an experienced teacher new to Middle School role in order to ensure consistency, confidence, and a fidelity to Montessori and Middle School philosophy and practice.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Assist the mentee with practical classroom operations, including lesson planning, record keeping, organization, and effective parent communication.
● Support policies related to assessment and grading.
● Help the mentee navigate Middle School Standards and expectations.
● Meet regularly with the mentee to provide thoughtful encouragement and foster a culture of reflective practice and growth.
● Support intentional, rigorous high school preparation.
Preferred Certification and Experience :
Minimum 5 years of experience as a certified Middle School teacher.
Montessori experience preferred.
