Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher working with 4th grade students in a supportive elementary environment. This contract position is designed to provide cross-categorical instructional programming for learners with diverse academic, behavioral, communication, adaptive, and functional needs. The focus is on delivering grade-level curriculum while also ensuring IEP goals and specialized instructional requirements are met.

In this role, you’ll deliver instruction using structured teaching strategies, visual and communication supports, as well as behavioral and social-emotional interventions. You’ll have the collaboration of related service providers and classroom support from a program aide, with additional 1:1 staff as determined by student needs and IEP services.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state
• Experience working with elementary or middle school students with disabilities
• Familiarity with cross-categorical teaching approaches and inclusive education
• Skilled in developing and delivering differentiated instruction aligned to grade-level standards and IEP objectives
• Strong ability to implement behavioral, sensory, and social-emotional supports
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with support staff, families, and service providers

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction for students with a variety of exceptional needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with education teams and families
• Integrate structured teaching supports, visual aids, and adaptive strategies into daily routines
• Utilize behavioral management strategies and collaborate on social-emotional programming
• Engage in ongoing communication with families, aides, and other professionals to foster student growth
