Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position is centered around delivering cross-categorical special education programming to a 5th-grade classroom, focused on nurturing both academic and personal growth for each student.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching credentials.
• Experience working with students who have diverse academic, behavioral, communication, adaptive, and functional needs.
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Familiarity with grade-level academic standards and the ability to adapt instruction to meet individual goals.
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom climate.
• Skilled in collaborating with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction that targets individual IEP goals while aligning with grade-level curriculum.
• Utilize structured teaching methods, visual aids, and communication supports to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Implement behavioral, social-emotional, and sensory interventions as appropriate to student needs.
• Work closely with a dedicated program aide and additional 1:1 support staff to maintain a well-structured learning environment.
• Engage in regular communication and collaboration with other educational professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
