As a K–5 Resource Teacher at the elementary school level, you’ll support students who participate mainly in the general education setting but need targeted instruction, interventions, and accommodations. This role is designed for those eager to make a difference through resource programming, helping students build academic skills, enhance executive functioning, and meet individualized IEP goals through both push-in and pull-out support.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students (K–5) preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and resource programming
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized, individualized instruction within general and special education settings
• Implement IEP goals and accommodations using push-in/pull-out models
• Support students’ academic and social-emotional progress
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, intervention specialists, and families
• Document students’ progress and adjust instruction as needed
