Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a positive impact in the lives of 4th grade students as a contract Special Education Teacher, providing cross-categorical instructional programming to support learners with a diverse range of academic, behavioral, communication, and adaptive needs. Located near Cicero, IL, this role focuses on helping every child thrive through meaningful, individualized instruction and close collaboration with a dedicated team.

Key Qualifications:

• State certification as a Special Education Teacher, with eligibility to work in elementary grades
• Experience supporting students with diverse needs, including academic, behavioral, communication, and functional areas
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Familiarity with structured teaching, visual supports, social-emotional and behavioral interventions, and communication strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with related service providers and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction aligned with grade-level standards while addressing individual IEP goals
• Utilize a variety of instructional and behavioral strategies to promote student success
• Develop and implement supports such as visual schedules, social-emotional learning activities, and sensory-friendly modifications
• Work closely with program aides and 1:1 support staff to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Engage in regular communication and collaboration with related service providers and families
• Collect and analyze data to inform instructional decisions and monitor student progress
