One of Inc 5000's fastest growing companies, Davis Unlimited Information Technologies, Inc (DUIT) is seeking experienced Hardware Technicians with 4+ years of experience to provide Tier 2 and 3 on‑site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment across various locations in Maryland. Responsibilities Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. Conduct site surveys, assess and document current site configuration and user requirements. Analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions. Develop hardware installation schedules and prepare drawings documenting configuration changes. Prepare site installation and test reports and train site personnel in proper use of hardware. Build specialized interconnecting cables. Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. Install and configure computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment and associated cabling. Maintain government and/or vendor‑manufactured fiber optic modems, multiplexers, fiber optic/Ethernet cables, and telephone systems. Follow standard operating procedures for the Connectivity Operations Team, including the use of ticketing systems and documentation. Support network upgrade projects or initiatives and end‑user connectivity needs. Required Experience and Qualifications High school/GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in hardware support and a Security+ certification. Alternatively, Associate’s degree in a technical field with 2 years experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. Must be CWIP Compliant - CompTIA A+, Net+, or Security+. Active tier authorization to view nondisclosed information and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Security background check required; prior completion is a plus. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, with occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Availability to work an 8‑hour shift between 6 am and 6 pm as determined by management. Technical Skills Highly skilled in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals. Well‑versed in installing Windows, software, applications, antivirus, and patches. Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics. Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Proficient in working with end‑users remotely. Experience with Windows 7 and 10 and Active Directory security and policies.
