Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this mobile role, you will support daily operations with integrity, reliability, and teamwork while contributing to a caring, people-first culture that values agile and innovative service.

- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards in accordance with site expectations.
- Support loss prevention and other store operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and completing assigned reports related to security-related incidents and daily activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
