Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Corporate Center Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant activity to site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor for access concerns, policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior, and document observations through required logs, reports, and communication tools.
- Assist with closing procedures, crowd and/or line observation, and customer-facing support during busy periods, special events, and other high-traffic times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
