Role Purpose This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles, including support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. Inspect and identify defective or broken parts, and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems. Ensure preventive care and timely repairs to support aircraft services. Key Responsibilities Inspect and identify defective parts on vehicles and perform repairs on gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems. Perform quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain maintenance records. Provide preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to support aircraft services team. Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies. Hydrate electric equipment per the Hydration Schedule. Program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID). Perform accident inspection on involved equipment. Qualifications 2–4 years of diesel mechanic experience/background. Completion of diesel mechanic coursework. Valid U.S. driver’s license and authorization to work in the USA. Must be 18 years or older and pass a pre‑employment drug screen. Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English. Comfortable lifting or moving up to 70 lbs. Available for variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, and able to work in all weather conditions. Able to obtain and maintain required airport badges. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Willingness to perform duties of other mechanic levels as needed.
