8600 Sheridan Rd Kenosha, WI 53142, USA Job Overview The Mail and Supplies Specialist is responsible for understanding and abides by policies, procedures, and programs related to procurement, inventory, vendor management, and office support within Milwaukee County. Responsibilities Maintain professional procurement practices and services according to the procedures of Milwaukee County. Maintain proper levels of inventory, prepare, and submit supply orders, and receive orders. Monitor, verify, and track deliveries, packing slips, and invoices. Contact Milwaukee Division of Purchasing for price/quote estimates. Contact vendors for office equipment repair/maintenance and problem resolution. Collect data and prepare reports as assigned. Maintain standards of confidentiality. Maintain a safe and professional work environment. Effectively plan and manage own work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special assignments. Follow through on learning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change. Problem Solving: General supervision, with work regularly reviewed by manager or senior coworker. Use technical skills and knowledge to manage day-to-day tasks. Technical Skill: Practical, working knowledge of tasks, responsibilities, policies, and procedures. Able to learn and apply new concepts. Community Engagement: serve as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community. Participate in volunteer opportunities as schedule and interest permit. Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned. Assist in coordinating day-to-day operations and training/development programs of Central Services as directed. Assist with conference room scheduling and event planning. Accept mail and packages; sort and redistribute as required. Check supplies at copy stations located throughout the building and replenish as needed. Requirements High school diploma or GED minimum. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Reach: extending upwards or downwards to retrieve objects. Vision required for computer entry and sorting mail.
