PHYSICIAN (MEDICAL EVALUATION BOARD)

Job Title
Job duties include:
Evaluating patients for duty and for meeting the Medical Retention Determination Point (MRDP) by conducting a complex and comprehensive review.
Attending and participating in monthly/recurring limited duty (LIMDU) reviews for appropriate disposition, requiring communication and collaboration locally.
Conducting extensive research with all care providers, aggregating, interpreting, and recommending course of action.
Conducting training and serving as a medical expert on the MEB process to residents, interns, and other medical students/staff.
Consulting with specialists to help clarify the impact of a diagnosis or treatment on a Service member's ability to perform their military duties and providing advice and recommendations.
