Growing together.  You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Analyze and interpret detailed business and functional requirements from PRDs (Product Requirement Documents) and FSDs (Functional Specification Documents)Design, develop, and implement scalable and high-quality software solutionsDevelop, review, and maintain clean, efficient, and reliable code following coding standards and best practicesActively participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and timely resolution of issuesInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issuesContinuously enhance technical expertise by staying current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of AI You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field6+ years of proven experience in building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using Java technologies5+ years of strong expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and software development, best practices, with a passion for hands-on coding5+ years of experience with excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with strong foundations in Data Structures, Algorithms, and complexity analysis5+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Framework components, including MVC, IoC (Inversion of Control), and AOP (Aspect-Oriented Programming), along with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate3+ years of proficiency in SQL, preferably experience working with Oracle Database3+ years of strong expertise in creating high-level and low-level design documents, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions1+ years of experience in working on AI technologies like: Generative AI, Github Copilot, Prompt EngineeringPreferred Qualifications:Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional global teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentKnowledge of US healthcare domainExperience in developing software productsExperience in BRMS (Business Rule Management Systems) tools and technologies, especially with authoring rules in DMN (Decision Model and Notation)Exposure to AWS cloud and ReactJS*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
