Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Litigation Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, with experience in both state and federal courts. The Litigation Associate will work closely with our team of attorneys to manage a wide range of complex litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process
- Develop and maintain case strategies
- Assist with case management, including organizing and maintaining case files and tracking deadlines
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide exceptional legal services to clients
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Illinois Bar license
- 3-7 years of experience in litigation
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
