Job title: Certified Credentialing Coordinator Project Duration : 03+ months contract Salary Range : $35/hr - $38/hr Shift : Day Shift - 7:30-4, or 8-4:30 M-F ONSITE Job Summary The Credentials Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the credentialing and privileging process for healthcare providers. This role ensures that physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health professionals meet regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements while maintaining accurate credentialing records and supporting compliance initiatives. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the credentialing, re credentialing, and privileging processes for healthcare providers Verify provider qualifications, including education, licensure, certifications, training, work history, and malpractice coverage Maintain accurate and confidential credentialing files and databases Monitor expiration dates for licenses, certifications, DEA registrations, and other required credentials, ensuring timely renewals Prepare credentialing and privileging documentation for medical staff committees and governing board review Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agency standards (e.g., Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS) Communicate with providers, medical staff, licensing boards, hospitals, and third-party organizations to obtain required documentation Respond to credentialing inquiries and provide support during audits and accreditation surveys Maintain electronic credentialing systems and generate reports as needed Collaborate with Human Resources, Medical Staff Services, Compliance, and department leadership to ensure accurate provider onboarding and ongoing compliance Qualifications & Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Previous experience in provider credentialing, medical staff services, or healthcare administration required Knowledge of credentialing standards and regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS, state licensing boards) preferred Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
