In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative tire solutions that meet the demanding requirements of original equipment car manufacturers. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, test, and optimize tire performance while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.Design and develop tire constructions and compounds using simulation software and engineering analysis toolsConduct comprehensive tire testing and validation to evaluate performance characteristics including durability, traction, rolling resistance, and noiseAnalyze test data and simulation results to identify optimization opportunities and drive continuous improvementCollaborate with materials scientists, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability of tire designsPrepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and OE customersTroubleshoot performance issues and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed performance targetsStay current with automotive industry trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive tire technologiesParticipate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations throughout the product development lifecycleSupport prototype development and coordinate with manufacturing facilities for production trialsManage project timelines and deliverables while maintaining organized documentation and recordsQualificationsWHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLEBachelors Degree in Engineering2+ years related professional experienceProficiency with standard software and design/modeling toolsExperience with tire testing methodologies and performance evaluationSolid understanding of automotive standards and OE requirementsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailExperience working with original equipment manufacturers or tier-one automotive suppliersProficiency in data analysis and technical report writingStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to work effectively in cross-functional team environmentsKnowledge of tire manufacturing processes and constraintsContinental is able to provide relocation assistance for this opportunityLegal Authorization to work in the US is required.
