A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.Sr. Development EngineerThis role requires technical experiences related to building cutting-edge product and Development experiences. This role needs to be comfortable working with the manufacturing industry as well as high technology-driven products with LG and customers. This role is focused on developing a project and being deeply involved in technical requirements in the development as well as resolving issues. Communication with Customer & Tier companies and development management to ensure strength and innovation in the LG automotive business. This role will directly influence the integration project development across all LG and automotive manufactures and requires confidence with identifying problems, communicating the concerns and driving for closure in order to deliver the best development quality within the time frame to build trust while demonstrating excellent features implementation and problem resolving skills. This role must have a humble service mindset and be a results-driven self-motivator. Responsibilities:Identify and manage all project development quality during and after developmentResolve Software & Hardware issues and communication with the customer to handle the issuesCoach and mentor engineer's, one-stop-shop for OEM customers and internal peopleManage OEM customer design request, develop APQP and manage 3rd party solutionDevelop a feature (if necessary, multiple functions)Development planning and managing multiple feature development milestonesSupport: Resolving business, manufacturing, and technical issuesIdentifying and managing all feature issues and publish a weekly reportCross-functional teams Validation, Manufacturing, procurement/Purchasing, Sales and Quality, customersCommunicate with LGE HQ cross-functional teamsRelease weekly development progress report and communicate with customer's engineersOther duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering5+ years or equivalent experience in automotive component development or testingPrior experience or knowledge of:Managing multiple technical projects simultaneously and delivering to agreed-upon cost, quality, and timing expectationsAutomotive development process or service new technologies to industry playersVehicle Infotainment features & Telematics and Vehicle interface technology productsHardware development skill (EE design process including schematic design, board layout, circuit analysis, Wi-Fi/Modem/BLE/Bluetooth/UWB/Cellular)Working across multiple disciplines (SiriusXM, Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, WiFi, Audio sound control, RF, OTA, VIF, CPU&Micom, Network, Hardware, testing)Leading and manage engagements with customers (mostly internal), collaborators, and 3rd party developersMS office software applicationsExcellent written and oral communication skills, with transparencyStrong commitment to quality and attention to detailDesire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologiesPassion for technology and problem solvingTravel/Physical Requirements: Up to 40% travel, including out-of-state and international travel as requiredUse of X-ray equipment and environmental chambersAbility to:Sit/Drive and/or test in a vehicle for up to 8 hours a day, up to 4 hours at a timeAbility to lift/carry up to 30lb samples, benches, box and toolsInteract with display/center controller/steering wheel while driving or while stationary testingPreferred:Prior experience with:Vehicle Infotainment & Telematics feature and Vehicle interface technology productsComplex systemsIATF 16949 certificationAPQP&FMEA certificationBilingual - Korean / EnglishBenefits Offered Full-Time Employees:No-cost employee premiums for you and your eligible dependents for competitive medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits.Auto enrollment with immediate vesting of competitive company matching contributions in a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with several investment options.Generous Paid Time Off program that includes company holidays and a combined bank of paid sick and vacation time.
