Registered Nurse – Maternal and Child Health

12-hour night shifts, 18:45–07:15. Every other weekend required; minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13+ weeks, available up to 02/27/2027 (hard stop).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OB/L&D experience (3 years preferred).
• Experience in high-volume units, with >300 births/month.
• Current NC license or compact license pending allowed for submission.
• Certifications: BLS/BCLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced may be accepted).
• Experience with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems.
• Clinical skills: labor & delivery care for high-risk obstetrics, circulate for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, immediate newborn care, triage, and management of high-risk obstetrical patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to obstetrical patients.
• Manage triage and labor processes for high-risk patients.
• Assist and support during cesarean sections and other obstetrical procedures.
• Conduct assessments and administer medications as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Compliance / Notes

COVID-19 vaccine is not required; flu vaccine is required with medical/religious exemptions only. Pre-employment lab/testing must be completed within 48 hours after signing. RTO must be pre-approved, with restrictions in place.
