Front Desk Receptionist

Description Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our Endocrinology specialty team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while supporting the daily operations of the front office and ensuring patients have a smooth experience from check-in through check-out. This position is responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying patient information and insurance, and assisting with other administrative needs of the practice. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner. Check patients in and out for appointments accurately and efficiently. Answer incoming telephone calls and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and contact information. Collect copayments, balances, and other applicable patient payments. Obtain and maintain required patient forms and documentation. Assist patients with questions regarding appointments, office procedures, and general practice information. Process and communicate appointment requests, cancellations, and rescheduling needs. Coordinate referrals and assist with obtaining necessary referral information and documentation. Communicate with insurance companies and other healthcare offices as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Assist with medical records requests and other administrative tasks as needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable healthcare regulations. Work closely with clinical staff and providers to maintain an efficient patient flow. Keep the front desk and reception area organized and professional. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous medical office, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred. Experience in a physician practice or specialty office is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional and compassionate approach when interacting with patients. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable answering a high volume of telephone calls. Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical record systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
