About the Role

As our organization continues to expand its services within the Cardiovascular Medicine Section , we are looking for a committed General Consultative Cardiologist to become part of our faculty team. This role presents an exciting chance to provide exceptional, comprehensive cardiovascular care in both inpatient and outpatient settings at Yale New Haven Hospital and its associated health system facilities.

The practice of general cardiology forms the essential foundation of this position, comprising over 60% of clinical responsibilities . Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient consultative cardiovascular services at Yale New Haven Hospital and across the health system.

• Patient Management: Assess, manage, and treat a diverse range of cardiovascular conditions within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary framework.

• Academic Engagement: Support the Section's academic objectives through teaching, clinical or translational research, quality improvement projects, and program development.

• Mentorship: Educate and guide medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: An MD or DO degree is required.

• Training: Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship is essential.

• Board Certification: Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine.

• Academic Appointment: Must fulfill the criteria for faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor of Medicine on either the Academic Clinician (AC) track or Clinician Educator Scholar (CES) track.

• Subspecialty Interests: We strongly encourage applications from candidates with advanced training, experience, or specialized interests in Cardiac Imaging, Heart Failure, or Preventive Cardiology .
