Key Responsibilities\n

• Establish a trusting rapport with clients, enabling open communication and fostering a safe therapeutic environment.

• Conduct thorough assessments for each patient and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques during regular sessions, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Down South Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Your role will involve both individual and couples therapy, as well as group counseling sessions, providing you with a chance to facilitate healing across different settings and dynamics. Your therapeutic contributions will aim to enhance clients’ emotional resilience and improve their relational skills.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Illinois.

• Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic processes, mental health diagnoses, and treatment modalities specific to marriage and family therapy.
