Job Summary:
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) North Charleston, SC. This position involves providing high-level intensive care to critically ill patients in a busy hospital environment. The role requires working in a general ICU setting, managing patients on ventilators, and performing complex procedures. The assignment offers the opportunity to develop specialized skills in neuro and cardiovascular critical care, including advanced hemodynamics and procedures related to post-operative cardiac and neuro patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, bid experience of at least 36 months with a minimum of one year in an ICU setting, proficiency with Meditech documentation system, current BLS, ACLS, and NIH stroke scale certifications, ability to care for up to 1-3 ICU patients, and comfort managing patients on ventilators.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree, additional certifications such as TNCC, experience with neuro procedures including EVDs and induced hypothermia, and previous successful travel nursing assignments.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required. Travel nurses may be assigned to the emergency department or progressive care unit to support patient care needs.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include bedside shift reports, managing post-op cardiac patients, neuro procedures, and collaborating with a skilled team. Opportunities for training to expand expertise in neuro and cardiovascular ICU care are available. The unit is equipped with advanced technology, and the staff is experienced, supportive, and committed to professional development.
