Nucor supports its teammates with top-tier benefits like Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance, 401K and Roth accounts, Profit sharing, Pay-for-performance bonuses, Paid parental leave, Tuition reimbursement, Stock program, Scholarships and more.Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.PURPOSE: Provide clerical and data entry assistance for the Accounts Payable DepartmentBASIC FUNCTIONSEnter and post invoices into the accounts payable system.Scan and enter email invoices to locations for approval.Code and voucher all purchase order invoices.Answer vendor inquiries regarding payment and communicate with internal personnel to resolve problems.Print checks on a weekly basis.Match paid invoices to check stubs.Maintain paid invoice files.Review vendor statements.Coordinate freight invoice entry.Perform month-end processes.Perform other duties required by the Accounts Payable Lead.Minimum QualificationsLegally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.Must have a high school diploma, GED, or local/state equivalent.Two to three years prior experience in accounts payable or equivalent work history.Preferred QualificationsTwo-year degree in accounting a plusProficient in Microsoft Office software (especially Excel)Accuracy and attention to detail are essentialMust maintain confidentiality with regard to financial informationSPECIAL DEMANDSMust be able to work overtime when requiredNucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
