$16/hr

Part time and full time available. 

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing overall support and care for individuals receiving services from Skill Creations, Inc. Skill Creations serves people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and secondary mental health/substance abuse issues. The DSP works in the person's home and/or out in the community, providing care according to the individual's specific needs and their plan(s) of care. The Direct Support Professional may help with personal care, behavioral support, medication administration, job coaching and assistance and/or independent living skills. The Direct Support Professional also creates opportunities to engage in communication and recreation/leisure.  

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED 
• Timely, regular attendance for assigned work schedule, including working during inclement weather and some holidays
• Valid Driver’s license, acceptable Driving Record. and personal vehicle for client transportation
• Background check
• Successful completion of course work in CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management
• Basic computer skills and smart phone
• Ability to lift 50lbs, remain standing for most of the time, and occasionally balance, bend, kneel, and stoop
• Ability to meet the individual client specific needs
