Customer Service Associate - Front Desk
LaMac Dry Cleaners is seeking a friendly, dependable Customer Service Associate to support customers and daily front-desk operations at our neighborhood dry cleaning business in South Minneapolis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, values excellent service, and wants to build knowledge in garment care and customer relations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Receive and process laundry and dry-cleaning drop-off orders, and retrieve completed orders for customer pickup
- Operate the register and accurately handle money transactions
- Maintain an organized and welcoming front-desk area
- Answer customer questions about orders, services, and garment care
- Advise customers on appropriate cleaning and fabric-care services
Training will be provided on our services, garment-care practices, and how to confidently educate and assist customers.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, retail, or cashier experience preferred but not required
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Strong communication skills and able to work independently
- Proficient in handling cash and using a register or point-of-sale system
- Willingness to learn about fabrics, laundry, and dry-cleaning services
Schedule
- Flexible hours
- Preference for afternoon and evening availability
- Shifts generally available through 6:00 PM
- Scheduling and hours may be negotiated based on availability
