CNC Milling Operator – 5‐Axis Vertical Mill

Location: Cleveland, OH Schedule: Mon–Thu (4×10s) + OT Fridays Full‐time |

Climate‐controlled facility | Modern equipment

A growing precision machining manufacturer is looking for a CNC Milling Operator to run and support production on a 5‐axis vertical mill . This role is ideal for someone with strong milling experience who enjoys working on small, tight‐tolerance parts for aerospace, medical, defense, and other high‐spec industries.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate a 5‐axis vertical mill for high‐precision, small‐part machining
• Load programs, set tooling, verify offsets, and run first‐article inspections
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and apply GD&T
• Perform in‐process inspection using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision tools
• Maintain tooling, workholding, and documentation for repeatability
• Work closely with programmers and leads to improve processes and machining strategies
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area

What You Need

• 2+ years CNC milling experience (5‐axis experience preferred but not required)
• Ability to perform setups and run tight‐tolerance parts
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
• Experience with precision measurement tools
• Familiarity with Fanuc‐based controls or similar platforms
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Willingness to learn advanced machining techniques
