Quality Control Technician

Quality Control Technician Our client in Walled Lake, MI is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join their second shift team. This full-time role involves performing inspections and testing on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with strict quality standards. The position supports production through timely and accurate quality assessments. Shift Details: Second shift runs Monday through Thursday starting at 3:00 PM Friday availability required as needed Shifts are either: 10 hours: 3:00 PM 1:00 AM, or 12 hours: 3:00 PM 3:00 AM (depending on production needs) Key Responsibilities: Perform quality control testing using standardized procedures Conduct visual and solution-based inspections for conformity Document test data using SPC (Statistical Process Control) systems Communicate findings to production and quality teams promptly Calibrate lab and inspection equipment per defined procedures Support and train fellow technicians as needed Generate reports and maintain QA records and archives Maintain a clean and safe working environment Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing Associate or Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field preferred ASQ certification or similar quality accreditation is a plus Proficiency in computer-based data entry and reporting Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate clearly and work independently Familiarity with QA procedures and safety standards
