HR Generalist

Human Resources Generalist

NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a confidential client to identify a Human Resources Generalist for its Fort Worth corporate office. This role will support a broad range of HR functions with a strong focus on payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, compensation, and employee support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning critical HR processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage bi-weekly payroll processing, employee data changes, payroll reconciliations, and related reporting
• Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, employee questions, annual renewals, COBRA, and vendor coordination
• Maintain HRIS data, onboard new hires, generate reports, and ensure accurate employee records and system access
• Coordinate FMLA, disability, and other leave programs while maintaining compliance and documentation
• Support compensation reviews, employee wellness and engagement initiatives, and other HR projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
• 3-5 years of Human Resources experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, and employee leave programs
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Paylocity experience and HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus
