Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM; 36 or 48-hour weekly contracts available (13-26 week contract lengths); 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period required; floating as needed; no call required

Highlights:

• Comprehensive cardiac telemetry unit specializing in complex cardiovascular conditions including post-surgical cardiac and thoracic procedures
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with full interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, pharmacy, and respiratory services
• EPIC charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation
• Exposure to advanced cardiac procedures including TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, and electrophysiology cases
• Patient population includes atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, cardiomyopathy, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Experience with specialized equipment including arterial lines, femoral sheaths, chest tubes, and EKG interpretation

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Step-down experience preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Willingness to work holidays and provide weekend coverage
• Availability for storm team/hurricane team assignments during catastrophic events
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
