The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist. We serve as a training site for Cardiology fellowships and Internal Medicine residency rotations, collaborating on VA-led research initiatives with the University of Arizona and Dignity Health. Our advanced research facilities include the Million Veterans Program, a pioneering study aimed at enhancing Veteran care and advancing medical knowledge. Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: Competitive pay, along with an annual performance bonus and regular salary increments.
• Paid Time Off: Enjoy 50-55 days of paid time off annually, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potentially 5 days for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Employment Requirements:

• Must possess a Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical or osteopathic institution.
• Licensure: Hold a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory, maintaining an active status.
• U.S. Citizenship is required; non-citizens may only be considered if qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in accordance with VA policy.
• Subject to a background and security investigation.

Eligibility requirements must be met according to VHA policy, and applications must be submitted within four months of starting. Approval, award amounts (up to $200,000), and eligibility periods (ranging from one to five years) will be determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a thorough review of the application.
