Associate Scientist II, Biological Research
AbbVie
Associate Scientist II position in the Toxin Innovation Group focused on cell-based assays and protein therapeutic evaluation. The role involves maintaining human iPSC-derived neuron cultures, executing pharmacological studies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a research setting.
Responsibilities
- Culture and expand human iPSC-derived neurons in sterile environments
- Execute in vitro pharmacological studies and develop new experimental protocols independently
- Analyze experimental data, evaluate results, and present findings to multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate experimental records in compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to achieve research objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biological science with 3+ years laboratory experience
- Expertise in aseptic cell culture techniques and iPSC cell differentiation
- Proficiency in ELISA, complex cell-based assays, and western blotting
- Strong data analysis skills and independent experimental execution capability
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, or microscopy preferred
