HR Generalist
The HR Generalist will serve as a key partner to assigned functions and colleagues, providing comprehensive human resources support across the areas of talent development, performance management, recruiting, compensation, engagement, and employee relations. Based out of Energizer's Westlake Ohio facility, this role will collaborate closely with business leaders and colleagues to foster a positive and productive work environment, ensure alignment with Energizer culture and HR best practices, and support initiatives that drive engagement and organizational effectiveness. The HR Generalist will play a critical role in executing core HR processes, supporting change management efforts, and contributing to continuous improvement across the HR function.
Responsibilities include acting as a trusted advisor to people leaders, leveraging data and analytics to identify insights and trends to inform strategic decisions around talent and operations, supporting initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace culture, effectively working with line management in planning for and meeting business goals and objectives, supporting the business with recruitment, colleague development, and retention, serving as a change agent and consultant to client groups in support of the Company's vision, mission, culture and strategy, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating the Company's risk through having a basic understanding of most relevant employment laws and follow agreed processes, assisting leaders with HR administrative and technological needs, providing onsite support to the colleagues at Energizer's Westlake, Ohio office, partnering with other functional HRBPs to ensure leader and colleague needs are met, conducting new hire onboarding and orientation sessions for new colleagues, serving as a colleague advocate and providing appropriate guidance in matters of policy and process, partnering with the Westlake Culture Champions on initiatives and events that create a sense of belonging and engage colleagues, collaborating across the HR function and proactively sharing initiatives, insights, challenges, and best practices, contributing as a team member on various HR projects and key initiatives, coordinating logistics for onsite interviews in partnership with the Talent Acquisition COE, and may perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills and Experience include Human Resource Certification and prior experience with SAP Success Factors.
What we are looking for includes a BS or BA in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred, 3+ years of functional Human Resources and business partnership experience, 2+ years knowledge of federal, state and local laws as they pertain to HR practices, strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, ability to influence for a desired outcome/result, ability to respectfully challenge and say NO, effective at balancing being a strategic partner, change agent, administrative expert, & employee champion, strong business acumen, previous experience coaching line managers, ability to work independently, fluent English, and up to 15% domestic travel required.
Working Relationships include reporting to Sr. Manager of Human Resources. Key relationships internally will include client groups, broader Human Resources team, R&D, Operations, and other functions as assigned.

The salary range for this position is USD $66,000.00/Yr. - USD $125,000.00/Yr. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
