About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Strategic Sourcing to lead the evolution of its healthcare supply chain operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of system-wide strategic sourcing, contracting, and value analysis functions. This role involves leading and developing team members, driving clinical sourcing strategies, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the best total value for the organization. The Executive Director will also oversee the value analysis program, non-labor cost management, and the sourcing of annual routine capital equipment projects. A key aspect of the position is to be a highly visible leader, participating in industry forums and conferences to share knowledge and stay abreast of current trends. Candidates for the Executive Director position must have a Master's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in inventory and supply chain management, preferably within a large hospital system. A strong background in leadership, lean concepts, and operational excellence is essential. The role requires expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and category management, as well as the ability to manage a significant annual spend. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker, influential leader, and possess excellent communication skills. Experience in business process improvement, and performance management, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams are also necessary. The Executive Director will be expected to demonstrate personal leadership qualities and business acumen, and to actively contribute to the organization's culture of equity and continuous improvement.
