Heavy Equipment Operator – Civil & Sitework Location: Norwood & Waltham, MA | Direct Hire Skilled Trades Partners is currently recruiting for a direct hire opportunity with a respected and growing civil/sitework contractor supporting large commercial construction projects throughout the Massachusetts area. Current work includes high-profile commercial site development projects including warehouses, dealerships, and utility-related infrastructure work. We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a higher-scope environment requiring strong excavation and dirt work experience. Excavator experience is the top priority for this role. Candidates with backgrounds in underground utilities, drainage, demolition, blasting, water/sewer, and large commercial sitework are highly preferred. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and backhoes Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation work Support underground utility installation including water, sewer, and drainage systems Work on large commercial job sites safely and efficiently Read and interpret construction plans and site drawings Coordinate with foremen and crews to keep projects moving on schedule Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures Qualifications 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience in civil/site construction Strong excavator operating experience required Experience with dirt work, demolition, drainage, blasting, water/sewer, and utility projects Experience working on large commercial job sites Ability to read and interpret plans and construction drawings Massachusetts Hoisting License required Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $40–$45/hr for highly skilled candidates Full benefits package Paid Time Off (PTO) Long-term direct hire opportunity Steady pipeline of commercial work Opportunity for growth with a strong and established company #J-18808-Ljbffr
