Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Fountain Valley, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients within a healthcare facility. The role includes interpreting dysrhythmias, managing cardiac telemetry, and responding to rapid response or code team activations, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. Job Details Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid license required; Certifications include ACLS, BLS, and CPI (Preferred). Additional certifications such as NIHSS are also required. Candidates must have at least 1 year of clinical experience. Additional Qualifications: Epic electronic medical record experience is required, along with proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/Code teams, and management of various invasive lines and catheters. Responsibilities: Delivering patient care to adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; utilizing telemetry and cardiac monitoring systems; administering oxygen therapy and managing airway devices; implementing infection control and isolation precautions; managing IV therapy, including heparin protocols, Vasoactive drips, and blood products; recognizing and responding to acute neurological and cardiovascular events; performing wound care and managing surgical drains; and documenting care appropriately. Certifications: All required certifications must be in hand at the time of application, including a CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute. Travel and Compliance: No Nursys or background checks accepted. No RTO within the first two weeks; maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract. A valid California State License in hand is mandatory. References from two supervisors are required. Training Modules: Modules are billable; completion is during orientation, with hours varying by specialty.
