Kaminskiy Design & Remodeling, Inc.

Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 annual salary + bonuses
Employment type: Full-time
Experience level: Senior level
Job title: Project Manager

Well-established San Diego Design/Build firm looking to add an experienced Project Manager to our team.

Our projects range from kitchen and bathroom remodels to whole-home remodels, additions, ADUs, and more.

We are looking for a highly experienced and passionate Project Manager. You must love what you do and take pride in your work. You must be a team player with a positive and professional attitude and demeanor.

Our Project Managers manage our projects as well as perform some of the work on a typical remodeling project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in the design and bid process – Attend meetings with the designer and homeowners, view existing conditions of new projects, consult with the design team on proposed designs, meet with subcontractors and gather bids, consult with architects and/or engineers, review scopes of work, and participate in estimating.

Manage projects in construction – Meet with subcontractors and communicate scopes of work and expectations, supervise and monitor subcontractors as well as in-house technicians, check quality (level, plumb, square, etc.) throughout the project, meet with city/county inspectors, maintain a clean and safe job site, think ahead, and problem-solve.

Manage clients – Plan and schedule projects from start to finish, keep clients and coworkers informed of the schedule, communicate with clients daily and meet in person at least once a week, inform clients of upcoming payments and collect payments when due, and maintain positive and professional relationships with clients.

Administrative – Keep Buildertrend updated daily with schedule changes, daily logs, to-dos, etc. Review subcontractor bids, write change orders, order building materials, schedule on-site meetings with the designer, and keep projects on time and on budget.

Belt-on duties – Each project has unique needs. On some projects, you may not have any hands-on duties, while on others, you may perform a good portion of the work yourself. You must have the experience, skills, and knowledge to remodel a kitchen or bathroom from start to finish. Experience with framing, plumbing, electrical, and finish carpentry is a must. A Project Manager at our company can’t think they are too good to pick up a shovel or a broom when needed.

• Must have working knowledge of all aspects of residential remodeling.
• Understanding of residential construction, building codes, and municipal inspection processes.

This is a full-time salaried position. Our Project Managers typically put in 50–60 hours a week. Annual salary ranges from $65,000–$75,000 based on experience. Semiannual bonuses are based on project performance and profitability. Most Project Managers earn $20,000–$50,000 in bonuses each year, depending on how many projects they can run and how quickly and successfully they complete those projects.

Health and dental benefits. Sick, vacation, and holiday time.

Experience is important; however, we hire based on character as well as skill. Being a good fit with our company’s culture and team is a top priority.
