Varsity Fencing Coach

We are looking for an energetic, passionate and experienced coach to serve as the Men's & Women's Varsity Fencing Coach at YULA High School. Our school is seeking an applicant who will teach and mold these young students into student-athletes. You must possess excellent communication and leadership skills. Assisting participants in the development of the required physical and sport-specific skills is a must. We strive ourselves on putting person before player, and being a team player with the YULA Family.

Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

• Develop professional relationships with the student-athletes and parents
• Help to grow and develop the fencing program
• Having close contact with the Athletic Director
• Responsible for inventory making sure to keep track of all of our equipment
• 1-2 practices a week plus Tournaments throughout the year
• Monitor student-athletes attendance, behavior and academic status
• Perform other related duties assigned by the athletic director
• Required to take all NFHS coaches classes online provided by the Athletic Director

Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of the sport
• CPR & First Aid Certification required or ability to be certified
• Coaching and higher level playing experience is desired
• Successfully pass a mandatory background check
