About the Role Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support to their operations based in Welkom. This pivotal role involves partnering with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies, manage complex employee relations issues, and drive key HR initiatives. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to enhance organizational effectiveness, foster a positive employee culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant South African labour laws. This is a significant opportunity to make a tangible impact within the Free State operations and contribute to strategic HR decision‑making. Key Responsibilities Provide expert guidance and support on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes and grievances. Lead recruitment efforts for key positions, develop talent acquisition strategies, and manage candidate pipelines. Partner with management to implement performance management systems and drive employee development initiatives. Ensure full compliance with South African labour legislation and company HR policies, updating them as necessary. Develop and execute HR projects that support business objectives, such as organizational design or change management. Analyze HR data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Requirements Master's degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience in a senior HR generalist capacity. Deep understanding of South African labour law, including case law and precedents. Proven experience in talent management, performance management, and employee relations. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with advanced HRIS functionalities and HR analytics.
