Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Summary: The Academic Advisor II provides guidance to University students on academic progress, courses, University resources, etc. Identifies courses to be completed in upcoming semesters. Explains University and College policies. Provides guidance and trains entry-level advisors. May teach compass course as needed.

This position oversees the development, administration, promotion of faculty-led study abroad programs and serves as a key liaison among students, faculty, and campus partners. Supports faculty-led program operations. Advises students throughout the study abroad lifecycle. Manages program processes within Terra Dotta. Supports faculty engagement, training, and program development. Plays a critical role in expanding participation in international education while ensuring compliance with university policies and study abroad best practices.Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of academic advising experience; OR master's degree and some academic advising experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to effectively communicate complex policies, procedures, and program requirements to a variety of audiences. Ability to build collaborative relationships with faculty, students, academic departments, and campus partners. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to learn and utilize technology platforms, including study abroad management systems and customer relationship databases. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team. Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Proficiency with database systems, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, International Education, Student Affairs, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in higher education, student services, academic advising, international education, program coordination, project management, or a related field. Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and administrative processes simultaneously. Experience maintaining records, generating reports, and managing large volumes of data. Experience in study abroad, international education, global engagement, or exchange program administration. Experience advising college students in an academic or student affairs setting. Experience working with faculty, academic departments, and curriculum-related processes. Experience developing and delivering training programs, workshops, or presentations.
