Junior High Teacher East Valley

Job Title and Location Junior High Science Teacher – Queen Creek Campus, Legacy Traditional Schools. Responsibilities Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through a variety of activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school success. Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement. Maintain effective and efficient record‑keeping procedures. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis. Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment. Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and the community. Ensure that student growth and achievement are continuous and appropriate for the age group, subject area, and/or program classification. Participate in training and staff meetings. Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating meetings as needed. Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments. Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the campus, and throughout their lives. Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus, and traveling to other campuses as required. Participate in events outside of normal hours. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or the ability to obtain one. Must pass a criminal history background check. Preferred Qualifications Current teaching certificate from the state. Physical and Travel Requirements Travel between campuses may be required from time to time. Lifting objects up to 25 pounds on occasion. May require sitting for long periods, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping, and long periods of concentration.
